Carbon Markets Association of Kenya Inaugural AGM
20th June 2024: The Carbon Markets Association of Kenya hosted its inaugural AGM, where members voted to approve key elements of the Constitution and selected the new Governing Council of the Association!
Vision: For Kenya to lead in developing an effective carbon market ecosystem that delivers value for people, enterprises, and the planet.
Mission: To unite carbon market practitioners and stakeholders and provide a collective voice for the sector in Kenya.
Core Values: Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, Transparency
Objectives:
๐ Engage with the government in developing and implementing effective and enabling climate policies affecting Kenya.
๐ Promote high standards of professional ethics and integrity in carbon markets development.
๐ Foster collaboration, sharing of information, and best practices among members.
๐ Raise awareness and communicate with a wider audience on Kenyaโs carbon market activities.
Membership is open to registered organisations, both for-profit and nonprofit, with a legal presence in Kenya. Eligible organisations include active carbon project developers, those with a no-objection letter from Kenyaโs Designated National Authority, or those actively advising, researching, or contributing to carbon market development.
