As a key member of the team, the Regional Director of Africa will report directly to the Global Director of Project Development and indirectly to the Director of Product Development, while working closely with the head of Global Sourcing. You will provide regional leadership across the key supply-side and innovation activities for the Climate Impact Partners’ business.
Chief Climate Officer
PEV is in search of an outstanding Chief Climate Officer (CCO) with a comprehensive grasp of climate patterns, the technical elements of climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the vital significance of climate in the context of the tourism industry. The CCO will oversee all climate-related projects, foster innovation, and formulate viable business strategies that intertwine climate and tourism.
Principal Consultant – Social Performance & Public Affairs (Human Rights)
The ideal individual will help continue to drive the growth of ERM’s business in Social Performance across a wide range of business sectors in the Africa and across the EMEA regions. They will be able to draw on a global network of ERM Partners and consultants working with clients on a broad range of social consulting issues. As a key contributor to this important sector within ERM’s strategic growth plans, you will be fundamental to the growth of ERM’s business in EMEA through selling and delivering world-class services, recruiting and developing others in order to expand their current team, and further advancing ERM’s reputation for human rights, labour rights and social performance consulting more widely.
Managing Consultant – Social Performance & Public Affairs (Resettlement) (Senior Level)
The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of projects for ERM’s clients on social performance topics, such as land access and resettlement, influx, gender mainstreaming, livelihood restoration, and socio-economic development. They will also provide technical support to various team members on social performance.
The positions are based in one of their Africa Business Unit offices, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, and Accra.
Managing Consultant – Social Performance & Public Affairs (Senior Level)
ERM is seeking a Social Performance Generalist to join the ERM Africa Business Unit, with the option to be based in Nairobi, Kenya; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; or Johannesburg / Cape Town / Durban, South Africa. The ideal candidates should possess experience in managing projects compliant with international E&S safeguards and standards, covering various sectors such as energy, transport, infrastructure, and extractives across Sub-Saharan Africa. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, as the role involves technical writing. Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is preferred. Furthermore, regular travel within Sub-Saharan Africa will be expected.
